Why do we do it?
As of 2009, 46.7% of the population lives below the poverty line. In 2011, a severe drought destroyed grazing lands and greatly reduced harvests. These facts show that help is needed, and Jesus’ words call us to respond, “For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home.” (Matt 25:35 NLT)
